On “Luxurious” we were tasked with creating accommodation for a family of five. But building a 33ft tiny home with multiple separate living quarters required an approach like no other. A couple innovative and key features make this possible in such a small space. We designed and created a custom moving wall system that depending on positioning forms a bedroom or extends the living room. When pushed against the back wall it opens up the living room to create a more spacious feel and while pulled away from the wall it exposes two custom folding bunk beds that fold down from the wall to accommodate for two thirds of the kids. Above the bunkbed room there is a fully enclosed loft for the parents giving them privacy as well as a great view to the sky with a massive opening skylight just above the bed. For the final accommodation there is a full secondary loft opposite the master loft with another massive opening skylight and built in shelving.
With so much of the limited space used up for living quarters we had to be very creative in getting the rest of the necessities into the tiny house. We created bathroom suite thats split in two and separated by sliding barn doors to give the privacy a family of 5 needs. The gourmet kitchen with a custom retro refrigerator and profession stove top is the centerpiece of the home. The six foot long backsplash window combined with an eight foot long accordion window door leading to a outdoor deck gives this home the open and spacious feeling they needed but never thought was possible in a tiny home.
All of the separate accommodations gave them the feeling of separation and privacy when needed.
