Typically, no permits needed on your end and depending on where you live no taxes to park a tiny house. Codes and zoning vary from city to city so we recommend talking with your local jurisdiction to clarify where you can park your tiny home. We will take care of all licenses and other legalities that come with manufacturing, so that you can sit back and enjoy; stress free. Since we are a Travel Trailer Manufacturer, and RVIA certified, you can drive your Heirloom down the road any time you want. You don’t have to have an escort service or call ahead to get a permit. It is as mobile and flexible as you need it to be. And for those who decide to keep it in one spot, we build all of our Tiny Heirlooms to be stable and structurally sound whether sitting or moving.
”In every Tiny Heirloom we have all of the sewer needs taken care of, so you don’t have to be plugged into a system of any sort. Our units will either have a compostable toilet (that reduces waste to 10% by evaporating 90% of it), or we will have a black water tank included. This means you will only have to empty a tank once every 1-2 months, or empty your compostable toilet receptacle (by this point, becoming odorless, harmless bury-able waste) once every 1-3 months!
At Tiny Heirloom we believe that every Tiny Heirloom should be as convenient and accessible as possible. The electrical systems works much like a traditional RV. If you are not off grid you will need to be plugged into the grid through a provided 30amp or 50amp cord that will power your house. There are multiple different up gradable options that can allow you to be more “off grid” and live a more green and efficient lifestyle. That means you can be plugged into an external power source, or run off battery power, wind and solar power. So whether you’re linked electrically to your family or friends house, or just out in the middle of nowhere, all of your power needs can be met.
